Nerf Wars at the Shelton House!

While I spend so much time decorating our house and making improvements, our house can also turn into a playground at any time. We have a new puppy that loves to run around, a toddler who thinks the whole house is her playroom, and a son who believes the living room and the hallway is a football field. I try to keep that in mind when it comes to how I decorate my house.

With school starting in less than a month and the temperature outdoors rising, I like to think of indoor activities that everyone can enjoy. What’s the perfect family fun day? Time for Nerf Wars! 🙌🏼 This was also Maya’s first battle. She learned how to load, aim, and shoot with the Nerf Micro Shot, a mini version of the favorite Nerf blaster, which fired one dart at a time and was perfect for her tiny hands. Trent and Tristan wanted to be fair and played with the Nerf Micro Shot too but later they took out the big guns. Titan also wanted to join in on the fun. He’s a teething puppy and I knew he was going to love the Nerf Dog 30” Vortex Chain Tug. It entertained him for hours. We even played with him by playing “tug of war.” This kept everyone laughing and having fun for hours. I’m not even going to lie, I think my husband had the most fun out of everyone. I mean, who wouldn’t? Nerf has been around for ages and if I wasn’t 8 months pregnant, I definitely would’ve joined in. Maya did use my belly as a battle shield though (lol). It was big enough to block her from getting hit. I love seeing her play with her big brother. While she loves playing dolls, she is not afraid to get rough!
